Our

Mission

Students in the Word provides an opportunity through Released-Time Bible Education for public school students to know Jesus Christ, be transformed by His Word, and become equipped to serve others in His name.

Where is God taking us?

Believing in the transformational power of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to not only change students’ lives but also families, schools, communities and beyond, we aim to have sustainable and thriving Released-Time Bible Education programming available to all public school students in Georgetown County at all public schools for all grade levels and to have student engagement in that programming at each school at 25% or more.

Why?

 Our Values:

We are passionate about our mission and driven to accomplish our strategy because we uphold the following Biblically-inspired values:

  1. Identity: We are rooted in the belief that we are created by God in His image, redeemed by Jesus Christ and his resurrection, and transformed and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
  2. God’s Word: We uphold and teach the Bible as the inspired, authoritative Word of God.
  3. Relationships: Because we are first loved by God, we love God and others.
  4. Discipleship: We are disciples of Jesus Christ called to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
